Today on November 21st, 20.000 people marched together at a peace-demonstration in Cologne, Germany. It was organised by DITIB, which is an umbrella organisation for more than 800 mosques in Germany and has strong relations to the turkish government. People were in a very good mood. It was mostly turkish and turkish-descendants, but there were also a large number of germans and non-muslims there (and at least 3 people from Netherlands). Links to press coverage at the bottom…

Gemeinsam für Frieden und gegen Terror

Heute am 21. November fanden sich ca. 20.000 Menschen bei der Friedensdemonstration in Köln ein. Sie war organisiert von worden von DITIB (Türkisch İslamische Union der Anstalt für Religion e.V. ), einem Dachverband für ca. 800 muslimische Moscheevereine. Die Stimmung war durch und durch positiv. Es waren überwiegend türkische und türkischstämmige Bürger da, aber auch zahlreiche Deutsche und Nicht-Muslime (und mindestens 3 Niederländer) waren dabei.
