English: Alexander’s Girlfriend Annabel is abducted and brought to an island in the midst of many islands. A Peculiarity of those Islands is, that all the people living there fall into into one of the following categories: Knight or Knave. Knights always tell the truth, and Knaves will always tell lies. The chieftain of the island folks knows everything that’s happening on the islands, and while searching for Annabel Alexander meets the chieftain on one of the islands. Alexander doesn’t know if the chieftain is a knight or a knave, but he is sure that the chieftain knows wether Annabel is on this island. Alexander asks him: “Is Annabel on this Island?” And the chieftain answers with either Yes or No, Then Alexander asks: “Have you seen Annabel on this island?” and the chieftain once again answers with Yes or No, and upon hearing the aswer, Alexander knew wether Annabel was on the island. Was she?

German: Alexanders Freundin Annabel ist entführt und auf eine Insel in Mitten von vielen Inseln gebracht worden. Eine Besonderheit der Inseln ist, dass alle Bewohner in eine von zwei Kategorien fallen: Ritter oder Schurken. Ritter sagen immer die Wahrheit, Schurken hingegen können nur lügen. Das Oberhaupt der Inselbewohner weiß über alles was auf den Inseln passiert Bescheid, and während seiner Suche trifft Alexander auf einer der Inseln das Oberhaupt. Alexander weiß nicht, ob das Oberhaupt ein Schurke oder Ritter ist, aber er ist sich sicher, dass das Oberhaupt weiß, ob Annabel auf dieser Insel ist oder nicht. Alexander fragt: “Befindet sich Annabel auf dieser Insel?” Das Oberhaupt antwortet mit Ja oder Nein, dann fragt Alexander: “Habt Ihr sie auf auf dieser Insel gesehen?” und wieder antwortet das Oberhaupt mit Ja oder Nein. Und nachdem Alexander seine Antwort auf die zweite Frage gehört hat, weiß er ob Annabel auf der Insel ist. Ist sie es?
